Bourgas Property

Bourgas is the 4th largest city in Bulgaria, and is situated on the Black Sea's southern coast. Bourgas although not known as a holiday resort is more of a central landing point for the Black Seas big holiday resorts like Sunny Beach, Sozopol, and Nessebur. Most of the southern Black Seas tourist traffic comes through Bourgas via its airport. Bourgas International Airport is one of two main airports along the Black Sea coastline athe other being Varna, which brings thousands of tourists to the area from all over Europe.

The port of Bourgas is the biggest sea port in Bulgaria and a 'Duty Free Zone' was established in 1989 with the objective to create attractive conditions for foreign investors. Originally Bourgas grew from the small Roman town of Deultum (later named Develt), founded by Emperor Vespasian as a military colony for veterans. It was only in the 17th century that a town named Ahelo-Bourgas grew in the present-day area of the city. This renamed into Bourgas. The District Museum of History, founded in 1925, is one of the most impressive tourist sights in the city and shouldn't be missed. Today it houses an archaeological hall with a rich collection of items dating back to the old colonies along the Black Sea coast.
